Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Plain English, fair to both sides. Last updated 9 October 2026.

The short version

  • We do what's in your proposal, with care — extras are quoted first.
  • No one can guarantee rankings, traffic or leads, so we don't. We report honestly.
  • Your content, data and website stay yours — we always hand them over.
  • Cancel recurring services any time; they run to the end of the paid period.
  • Your consumer rights always apply, wherever you are.

This summary helps you read the terms below; the full terms are what apply.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when Lighthouse Digital Solutions ("Lighthouse", "we"), based in Bengaluru, India, provides services to you. The details of your work — what's included, the price and any timing — are set out in your proposal, quote or order (your "proposal"). If your proposal and these terms disagree, the proposal wins.

Lighthouse Digital Solutions is a sole proprietorship of Bhawna Kumari, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Udyam registration UDYAM-KR-03-0622906.

Your legal rights come first. If you are a consumer, or the law where you live gives you rights that can't be excluded (for example under the Australian Consumer Law, New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act, the UK Consumer Rights Act or India's Consumer Protection Act), nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

2. Our services and scope

We provide the services described in your proposal — such as websites, SEO, website care, hosting and security, email marketing, lead generation and automation — with reasonable care and skill.

Anything outside the agreed scope needs your agreement first. We'll tell you if a request is extra and quote it before doing it — no surprise charges.

3. Your part

  • Give us accurate information, and the access and content we need, in reasonable time.
  • Share passwords and access securely, and tell us if anything changes.
  • Only give us content you have the right to use (text, images, logos, data).
  • Make sure your own marketing is lawful — for example, that you have permission to email the people on your lists.
  • Review and approve work when we ask, so we can keep things moving.

4. Prices, invoices and payment

Prices are set for each country and shown on our website in your local currency. Your proposal confirms the currency and amount you pay. Any taxes that apply are shown on your invoice.

Invoices are due by the date shown on them. If a payment is late we'll remind you first; if it stays unpaid we may pause work after giving you notice. We never hold your website, domain or data hostage over a payment dispute.

5. One-off and recurring services

One-off work (like a website build) follows the payment stages in your proposal.

Recurring services (like Proactive Care or SEO) are billed for each period shown in your proposal and continue until you cancel. If we change the price of a recurring service, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

6. Third-party services

Many services rely on other providers — for example hosting, DNS and security, email marketing platforms, search engines, advertising and social platforms, domain registrars and payment providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them. We are not their agent, and using them doesn't mean they endorse Lighthouse or that we are their partner.

Domains and hosting stay in your name and are billed to you by the provider. We can't control third-party outages, price changes or policy changes, but we'll help you deal with them.

7. SEO and marketing — no guaranteed results

Search engines, ad platforms and social networks decide rankings, reach and approvals. So we don't guarantee any ranking, traffic, number of leads, sales or revenue — and anyone who does is guessing. What we promise is honest work and honest reporting, based on your real data.

We follow each platform's rules. We never use spam, fake reviews, fake engagement, misleading claims or other tactics that could get you penalised. Ad spend is paid by you to the platform, and we don't spend it without your approval of the budget.

8. AI and automation

We use AI tools and automation to monitor, draft, check and report faster. People stay responsible: changes to your live website, and anything sent or published on your behalf, need approval as set out in your proposal.

AI can make mistakes, so we review its output, and you approve content before it is published. Where a platform requires AI-generated content to be labelled, we label it. The chat assistant on our website is an AI and can be wrong — a person at Lighthouse replies to every enquiry.

9. Websites, hosting and security

Under a care or hosting plan we take the steps your plan describes — such as monitoring, backups, updates and security checks — and respond to incidents.

No website or system can be made 100% secure or available, so we can't promise uninterrupted service. Please tell us quickly if you notice a problem, and keep your own logins safe.

10. Your content and intellectual property

Your content and data stay yours. Once you've paid for it in full, you own the work we create specifically for you, such as your website's design and the content we write for you.

Some parts belong to others — themes, plugins, fonts and stock images are used under their own licences. Our general tools and know-how stay ours, and you can use them as part of the work we deliver. We only show your project publicly, or name you, with your permission.

11. Privacy and data protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. When we handle personal data for you — like your website enquiries or your subscribers — we use it only to provide your services and on your instructions, keep it secure, and help you meet your obligations under the privacy laws that apply to you.

12. Cancellation and ending the work

Recurring services: you can cancel at any time by telling us in writing. The service runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then stops.

One-off work: you can stop a project at any time. You pay for the work done up to that point and for any third-party costs already committed.

We may end our services if invoices stay unpaid after notice, or if we're asked to do something unlawful or harmful. Whoever ends the work, we hand over your content, data and access — including help moving your domain and hosting.

13. Refunds

If we don't deliver what we agreed, tell us and we'll put it right. If we can't, we'll refund the part that wasn't delivered.

Money already paid to third parties for you (such as domains, licences or ad spend) can't usually be refunded by us. Any refund or cancellation rights the law gives you — for example cooling-off rights for consumers in some countries — always apply.

14. Responsibility if something goes wrong

We're responsible for loss caused by our failure to provide the services with reasonable care and skill. Where the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses (like lost profits or lost business), and our total responsibility under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

These limits don't apply to anything the law doesn't allow to be limited — such as fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence — or to your consumer rights.

15. If we disagree

Talk to us first at hello@lighthousedigitalsolutions.org. We'll respond and work with you in good faith to sort it out. If we still can't agree, either of us can suggest mediation before going to court.

16. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you're a client, we'll tell you about important changes before they apply, and changes never apply backwards to work you've already agreed.
